Competitions

The association organise and run 3 snooker competitions each year and these are run over the summer period, finals are normally played in September with prize money and trophies being presented at the conclusion of each competition.

It is a condition of entry that all players due to receive prize money shall attend the final in order to receive their winnings. In the event that they are unable to attend then they shall advise the association secretary and arrange for a nominated deputy to attend in their place.

The Teesside Snooker Pairs

This is an open competition with Pairs competing on a Home/Away knockout basis. Games are best of 3 frames up to and Including the quater finals, the semi-finals and final being played over 5 frames.

The Leo Robb Memorial Trophy

This is a singles game with players being handicapped by the association. Games are played on a Home / Away knockout basis.

Games are the best of 5 frames up to and including the quarter finals with semi finals and final being the best of 7 frames.

Brian Newton Team Snooker

Teams will consist of 6 registered players with any three from six playing. Each player will be entitled to play 2 frames but not on a consecutive basis. In the event of a tied score after 6 frames one player shall be nominated by each team captain to play a deciding frame. Games are played on a home / away basis

Green Baize North East Open (Handicap)

This is a new competition for 2011 and is being run in conjuction with Green Baize Ltd. your local supplier for all things snooker and pool related. Entry is open to all players over the age of 13 with an entry fee of £10.00 and £5.00 for all those under the age of 18 at the commencement of the competition.
