National Billiards competitions are run by the English Amateur Billiards Association EABA and details can be found at their web site HERE

At local level the Teesside boys Billiards and Snooker league has recently undergone a major change and is now incorporated into the Cleveland Billiards and Snooker Referees Association.

One local competition which used to be held on an annual basis was the Tommy Arnott Memorial Trophy.

Tommy Arnott, founder of the Arnott Insurance Group in Middlesbrough was a keen billiards follower and when he passed away his family instigated this competition which is played on an annual basis.

As a result of falling numbers it has been decided that this tournament will be suspended with the Arnott family now providing a special prize to be awarded to the junior player of the year.
